Open Source Developers' Conference (Hobart, Oct 27-29)

The Open Source Developer’s Conference is a bit under six weeks away, and for the first time is running in Hobart. OSDC covers all aspects of Open Source Technology, from software and systems to open data. It has historically been a very friendly, welcoming conference, with lots of great content and plenty of opportunities to meet interesting people. Morning and afternoon tea, as well as lunch and the conference dinner are inclusive for all attendees.

Possibly of particular interest to makers here are the talks in Room 2 on the first day, eLearning/IoT, encouraging STEM literacy, and 3D printing fossil skulls. See https://2015.osdc.com.au/schedule/ for more details. There’s also plenty of time for lightning talks and an evening of birds-of-a-feather sessions.

To register, please see https://2015.osdc.com.au/register/ (there’s still Early Bird tickets available).
